The Cult is an English rock band which gained a dedicated following in their native Britain with mid-’80s singles like “She Sells Sanctuary” before breaking into the American metal market in the late ’80s with “Love Removal Machine.” The band fuses a “heavy metal revivalist” sound with the “pseudo-mysticism…of the Doors, the guitar-orchestrations of Led Zeppelin, and the three-chord crunch of AC/DC, while adding touches of post-punk goth rock”.
the band released the album entitled Love, after the moved into London, which charted at #4 in the United Kingdom, and which included singles such as She Sells Sanctuary and Rain.

Rise Against became succesful with their first two major label releases, Siren Song of the Counter Culture (2004) and The Sufferer & the Witness (2006), with hits such as “Give It All”, “Swing Life Away”, “Ready to Fall”, “Prayer of the Refugee”, and “The Good Left Undone”. Kill. Repeat. in 1996.The current line-up includes Sid Wilson, Joey Jordison, Paul Gray, Chris Fehn, Jim Root, Craig Jones, Shawn Crahan, Mick Thomson, and Corey Taylor. Their first studio-produced album, Slipknot, was released in 1999. followed by two further studio albums, Iowa in 2001 and Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses) in 2004. They are expected to release their fourth album, All Hope Is Gone, on August 25, 2008.
Alanis Nadine Morissette is a Canadian-born singer-songwriter, record producer, and actress. She has won 12 Juno Awards and seven Grammy Awards, and has sold over 55 million albums worldwide. Morissette began her career in Canada, and as a teenager recorded two dance-pop albums, Alanis and Now Is the Time, under MCA Records. In February 2005, Morissette became a naturalized citizen of the United States while maintaining her Canadian citizenship.
Buckcherry is a Grammy-nominated Los Angeles, California hard rock band originally created in 1995. The band released two albums (1999’s eponymous debut and 2001’s “Time Bomb”) before disbanding in the summer 2002. In 2005, Josh Todd (lead vocals) and Keith Nelson (guitar) put together a new band using the Buckcherry moniker and released a new album in April 2006 called 15, and it spawned Buckcherry’s biggest crossover hits to date, “Crazy Bitch” and the band’s first Hot 100 top ten hit, “Sorry”.
Henry Rollins is an American singer-songwriter, spoken word artist, author, actor and publisher. He was born February 13, 1961 as Henry Lawrence Garfield; often referred to simply as Rollins. After joining the short-lived Washington, D.C. band State of Alert in 1980, Rollins fronted the Californian hardcore punk band Black Flag from 1981 until 1986. Following the band’s breakup, Rollins soon established the record label and publishing company 2.13.61 to release his spoken word albums, as well as forming the Rollins Band, which toured with a number of lineups until 2003 and during 2006.
