The metal band Mudvayne rose to fame in the year 2000 when their album entitled L.D. 50 entered the Billboard 200 at number 85. The band was created at Peoria, Illinois in 1996. The band comprises founder, and frontman Chad Gray, guitarist Greg Tribbett, bassist Ryan Martinie and drummer Matthew McDonough. Signed onto Epic Records, Mudvayne has released three studio albums, two compilations, two DVDs, and are releasing The New Game on November 18, 2008.

Stone Temple Pilots ex-frontman Scott Weiland is a known musician,lyricist and vocalist. He’s also known for his brief stint with the band Velvet Revolver. After a five-year hiatus, the STP reunion tour kicked off at the Rock on the Range festival in May 2008. He was the frontman of the Grammy Award-winning supergroup Velvet Revolver during his time away from STP, but parted ways with the band on April 1, 2008. Weiland’s split from Velvet Revolver also led to his departure from his side-project band Camp Freddy. Weiland’s second solo album, Happy In Galoshes, will be released on November 25, 2008.He is known for his flamboyant and energetic onstage persona and for constantly changing his appearance and vocal style.
AC/DC is an Australian band created in Sydney, Australia in 1973 by brothers Angus and Malcolm Young. Their music genre is hard rock. Although the band is considered pioneers of hard rock and heavy metal, its members have always classified their music as “rock ‘n’ roll”.
A folk-rock band, The Decemberists which is from Portland, Oregon, United States will be having their band tour this coming NOvember 2008. The band is lead by singer/songwriter Colin Meloy. The other members of the band are Chris Funk (guitar, multi-instrumentalist), Jenny Conlee (hammond organ, accordion, melodica, piano, keyboards), Nate Query (bass guitar, string bass), and John Moen (drums, backing vocals, melodica). The Decemberists first EP, 5 Songs, was self-released in 2001. Its fourth full-length album, The Crane Wife, was released on 3 October 2006 by Capitol Records, and is the band’s first appearance on a major label.

Staind is a known American music group held from Springfield, Massachusetts with a genre of alternative rock. They’d been active since 1995. The band is comprised of lead singer/guitarist Aaron Lewis, lead guitarist Mike Mushok, bassist/vocalist Johnny April and drummer Jon Wysocki. Over the past nine years the band has recorded 5 studio albums, had multiple chart topping singles, and sold over 15 million records worldwide.
Drive-By Truckers is an alternative country band created in Athens, Georgia, though three out of five members (Mike Cooley, Patterson Hood, and Shonna Tucker) originally came from The Shoals region of Northern Alabama. Their music is noted for its “three axe attack,” or three guitars as well as bass and drums. Their lyrics often revolve around drifters and outlaws trying to survive in economically-depressed small towns. They currently record for New West Records.
Beck Hansen is an American musician, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist known by the stage name Beck. He was born Bek David Campbell, July 8, 1970. With a pop art collage of musical styles, oblique and ironic lyrics, and postmodern arrangements incorporating samples, drum machines, live instrumentation and sound effects, Beck has been hailed by critics and the public throughout his musical career as being amongst the most idiosyncratic musicians of the 1990s and 2000s alternative rock.
Trans-Siberian Orchestra is a rock orchestra created by Paul O’Neill, Robert Kinkel, and Jon Oliva in 1996. The band’s musical style is often described in different terms, incorporating progressive rock, symphonic metal, and heavy metal, with influences from classical music. The Trans-Siberian Orchestra is famous for its renditions of traditional Christmas songs. Some of their most well-known works include such songs as Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24 (a rendition of Carol of the Bells), and Wizards in Winter, both of which are popular selections of radio DJs during the Christmas season.
