One of the most controversial rappers because of his criticism with his colleagues is The Game. Jayceon Terrell Taylor (born November 29, 1979), better known by his stage name The Game, is an American rapper. A rapper at heart and one of the hottest and best-selling rap artists, The Game has had two number-one albums in the US, as well as two US top-5 singles He rose to fame in 2005 with the success of his debut album, The Documentary, and his two Grammy nominations. Since then, he is considered to be a driving force in bringing back the West Coast hip hop scene and competing with many of his East Coast counterparts.
Aside from releasing two albums that debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, The Game has gained notoriety for involvement in feuds with other rappers. His music falls under the gangsta rap subgenre, a style of hip hop popularized in his hometown of Compton, California, although some of his earliar albums and mixtapes have been chopped and screwed.

The thrashing sound of Disturbed began to build a following on Chicago’s south side. The heavy metal band formed as Disturbed in 1997. Disturbed came together when guitarist Dan Donegan, drummer Mike Wengren, and bassist Fuzz joined up with singer David Draiman. The addition of Draiman to the band is what provided the cohesion needed for the band to strike out. Draiman grew up in a religious family. He rebelled from his parent’s strict rule and was eventually expelled from five boarding schools during his youth. Like many hard rockers, metal music became an outlet for pent up anger. Draiman was no exception.

Eventhough Britney Spears’ 2007 album Blackout was her first in 4 years, she hardly spent her time off out of the spotlight. In fact, for awhile it seemed like Ms. Spears had dropped the mantle of famous pop idol and decided to be an infamous has-been instead. Though Blackout went platinum its performance was still disappointing as it sold only a third of the copies of 2003’s In the Zone. Critics claimed that Spears’ career was over. Beck’s work with The Yardbirds and The Jeff Beck Group’s 1968 album Truth were seminal influences on heavy metal music, which emerged in full force in the early 1970s. Jeff Beck is still highly influential with many modern guitarists, who cite him as a major influence on their playing.
