The Goo Goo Dolls are a rock band formed in 1986 in Buffalo, New York by John Rzeznik and Robby Takac. The band achieved mainstream success when they release the single “Iris” from their album Dizzy Up Girl. Iris is the sound track of the movie City of Angels. It was written for 4 minutes by Rzeznik.
