Green Day is an American rock band formed in 1987 and it was formed by three core members: Billie Joe Armstrong (guitar, lead vocals), Mike Dirnt (Back-up vocals, bass), and Tré Cool (drums). They have popularized the songs “Wake Me Up When September Ends” and “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” from their album “American Idiot”. This album won a Grammy Award as “Best Rock Album” in 2005.
