He delivered the first number One country hit as an African - American which is entitled “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It”. I am talking about Hootie and the Blowfish frontman Darius Rucker. He became the member of the American rock band on its very birth in 1989 and has recorded two solo albums since 2002, entitled “Back to Then” and “Learn to Live”.

Hootie & the Blowfish are an American rock band, hailed at the University of South Carolina on 1989 by Darius Rucker, Dean Felber, Jim “Soni” Sonefeld and Mark Bryan. Hootie and the Blowfsih won the “Best New Artist” award at the 1996 Grammy Awards. They have popularized the songs Let Her Cry, Only Wanna Be With You and I Will Wait among others.
