The Cure is an English post-punk, gothic rock, alternative rock and new wave rock band that was created from Crawley, Sussex in 1976. The Cure have experienced several lineup changes, with frontman, guitarist and main songwriter Robert Smith—known for his iconic wild hair, pale complexion, smudged lipstick and frequently gloomy and introspective lyrics—being the only constant member.

The Cure From 1976 and Beyond

The Cure is an English rockband hailed from Crawley, England. The band is consist of Robert Smith – lead vocals, guitar, keyboards (1976–present), Porl Thompson – guitar (1976–1978, 1983–1993, 2005–present), Simon Gallup – bass guitar, keyboards (1979–1982, 1985–present) and Jason Cooper – drums, percussion (1995–present). The Cure have popularized the songs “Just Like Heaven”, “A Letter to Elise”, “Boys Don’t Cry”, and “If Only Tonight We Could Sleep”.
