One of the most delightful and engrossing musicians of our times; the highly popular Derek Trucks Band has been enthralling audiences for over 10 years now. Their unique musical style which wonderfully assimilates elements of jazz, rock, and blues with undertones of Latin, Eastern Indian music has drawn them considerable critical acclaim.

Derek Trucks Band is named after the famed guitarist Derek Trucks who has been instrumental in bringing these motley lot talented musicians together and creating musical magic. The eccentric fusion music characterized by raw acoustics is a sound that now passionately defines the DTB. The band’s stated mission over the years has been to assemble a very talented group of musicians who amongst themselves share a passion for experimentation, improvisation and musical exploration.

Through the years they have tried to develop a very refined united musical vision. This has been made possible by performing only with this core group of musicians for an extensive period of time. The musical focus of the band is very much on the art form itself and bringing it to higher plateau. They are not bothered by the current trend of strong image-driven music. The Derek Trucks Band is committed to create progressive roots music and they are trying to reestablish substance over hype.
