Monday April 14, 2008, Kellie Pickler took home three trophies from the 2008 CMT Music Awards in Nashville. Taylor Swift won the night’s biggest awards which surprise her. She even went up the stage barefooted. Swift had thank her fans on her My Space blog saying, “Thank you for last night. Thank you for the CMT Music Awards. Part of me can’t believe that it actually happened, and all of me can’t believe that this is my life - that there are people out there willing to take time out of their busy lives to give me that night … I’ve always been the girl watching the award shows from the stands or from my couch, wishing like crazy that someday if I worked hard enough and things really came together, that could be me. You did that for me.”

Taylor Swift’s video for her single “Our Song” won both Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year.
